Earth from Above

Yann Arthus-Bertrand's world famous photo-documentary is a report on the state of planet Earth. Earth from Above allows visitors to view 120 large, aerial photographs of nature, people and the environment, while walking around on a 200 m2 map of the world. A film about the work of the photographer and the subject of sustainable development is screened in the information tent. Visiting schools are able to make use of teaching materials that pose questions based on the photographs, raising awareness of the environmental problems facing our planet right now while the pupils relate to the individual pictures. 13 Earth from Above exhibitions have been mounted to date, from Copenhagen in 2001 to Stockholm, Reykjavik, Amsterdam, Vienna, Lisbon and, most recently, a special presentation in Amsterdam.
